How it started…

The idea for Hollrs came about one night at home. My wife and I had just received a large bill from our gas provider... a VERY large bill. It didn’t make sense. We sat there trying to figure it out, and I couldn’t help but think back to my time running a telephone unit. Back then, I managed a team that spent about a quarter of a million pounds a year on telephone calls. If there was ever an issue with pricing or service, I could reach out, and someone from the provider would jump in their car, drive to my office, take me out to lunch, and we’d work it out face-to-face. That was real connection.

But here I was, just one person trying to understand an enormous bill from a huge energy provider. I had no voice, no real way to be heard. And that got us thinking: what if there were more of us? What if people experiencing the same issues could come together, share their stories, and be heard?

The idea of Hollrs began to take shape right there in our living room. It wasn’t about fighting big bills, it was about building communities where people could come together, connect, and make change happen in positive ways. Whether it was a political issue, an environmental concern, or feedback for a brand, the idea was simple: bring people together around shared experiences to be heard. Not just as individual voices, but as a community that matters.

Hollrs is built on the belief that when people come together, great things can happen. It’s a platform designed to amplify voices and create real connections by bringing people together in Huddls. These are community-driven spaces where stories are shared, conversations happen, and brands and organizations have the chance to truly listen. It’s about making small, meaningful changes that add up to real improvements.

Through Hollrs, we are building more than just a platform, we are building a community. It’s a place where people aren’t just customers, but voices that matter. For brands, it’s about listening above the noise, understanding what really matters, and acting on it.

That large bill wasn’t just an error, it was the spark that inspired Hollrs. Today, that spark is alive and well, bringing people together to share their stories and drive real change.
